Areas of Usage
DURAPER Innovative Insulating Plaster is used for exterior and interior walls of residential and commercial buildings.
Preliminary Preparation
- The surface that DURAPER will be applied must be cleaned from dust, dirt and such. Dried paint residues and spaced plasters are to be scraped off, if there are any.
- Concrete, gas concrete and painted surfaces must be primed at least 24 hours before application.
Application Facts
- The ideal application temperatures are 5-35°C. At exceeding temperatures, the surface must be moisturized.
- Application should be avoided during very humid or hot weather, at strong wind conditions and under direct sunlight.
- When there is a risk of raining or freezing within 24 hours, application should be postponed.
- The surface must be smooth, thus it is necessary to fill the cracks and holes before application.
- At the junction points plaster mesh should be used.
- No other substances should be added to the mortar.
- All tools that will be used during application should be cleaned thoroughly.
- It should be applied in two layers when the surface is ready.
Manual Application
One bag of DURAPER is poured into a clean container and then approximately 10lt of water is added and mixed with a low speed mixer for like 5 minutes until it reaches the consistency of mortar. Then it is applied using trowel and trowel spade until the desired thickness is reached. After application, it should be left to dry. Depending on weather conditions, after the plaster has pulled itself, the surface is flattened using trowel spade. Then it is left to dry until next day for 2mm decorative plaster application.
Machine Application
The machine is set to add water and then approximately 10lt of water is added. The entire package is poured and mixed until it reaches the consistency of mortar. Then it is sprayed until the desired thickness is reached. The rest is as manual application.
Storage
- No direct sunlight
- Must be keep away from water, humidity, moisture
- No direct ground contact. It should be stocked on a wooden pallet.
- Shelf life of a non-opened package is 2 years when stored at above conditions
- After opening, it must be used within a week.
Safety Precautions
- Work clothes, protective gloves, glasses and mask should be worn during the application in accordance with general safety rules.
- Avoid direct inhaling.
- Do not contact with eyes. In case of contact, wash with plenty of water.
- Do not swallow.
- Keep away the reach of children.
