Areas of Usage

DURAPER Decorative Plaster is used as a final decorative coating on exterior surfaces of thermal insulation applications.

Preliminary Preparation

  • The surfaces that it will be applied must be clean and solid.
  • There must be no dust, oil, dirt, rust, cleaning substances and waste.
  • Surfaces must be smooth, there should be no cavities or cracks.
  • Application can be started after moisturizing the surface.

Application Facts

  • It is recommended that decorative plaster application should be carried out at least 24-48 hours after the insulation plaster application depending on weather conditions.
  • The ideal application temperatures are 5-35°C. At exceeding temperatures, the surface must be moisturized.
  • Application should be avoided during very humid or hot weather,at strong wind conditions and under direct sunlight.
  • When there is a risk of raining or freezing within 24 hours, application should be postponed.
  • No other substances should be added to the mortar.
  • All application tools should be cleaned thoroughly before starting.

How To Apply

  • DURAPER Decorative Plaster is poured in a cup.
  • Clean and cold water is added slowly in it (11-12lt water for 13kg decorative plaster).
  • They are mixed with a low speed mixer for about 10 minutes until it reaches mortar consistency and the mixed mortar is left to rest for 5 minutes and remixed once more.
  • Depending on the weather conditions ,the prepared mixture should be applied smoothly to the surface with a steel trowel at the thickness of 2mm.
  • If necessary, the consistency of the mixture is adjusted again by adding water.
  • It is recommended that the trowel surface should be kept clean during applying.

Storage

  • No direct sunlight
  • Must be keep away from water, humidity, moisture
  • No direct ground contact. It should be stocked on a wooden pallet.
  • Shelf life of a non-opened package is 2 years when stored at above conditions
  • The already opened packages should be closed tightly when it is not in use.
